We provide high quality mental health services to support people living with dementia and their families / carers, which are accessible, adaptable and responsive to local needs and demands, and, work alongside our partners and with all ages to support identification of individual strengths, build greater resilience, self-care and facilitate people to be able to live well in our communities and neighbourhoods.

Wigan has a thriving Dementia Friendly Community that aims to empower people across the Wigan Borough to share experiences, undertake social activities and raise awareness, thus creating an environment that will enable people to live well with dementia. It supports to reduces isolation, anxiety, potential crisis and exclusion and builds upon the assets within communities and individuals, to encourage support for self-reliance, self-care and independence.
