  • Increase independence and quality of life for those living with dementia
  • Supporting people with dementia to live and die well

Dementia is a progressive condition, which means that the symptoms will gradually become more challenging. An early diagnosis opens up opportunities for future care and treatment. It helps people with dementia to plan ahead while they are still able to make important decisions on their care and support needs and on financial and legal matters. It also helps them and their families to receive practical information, advice and guidance, emotional and psychological support alongside expert clinical input, as they face new challenges.

If you are concerned that you or someone you know may have dementia, it is important to take action. Please speak to your GP initially to request a formal diagnosis.
