Our aim is to deliver high quality services to support people living with dementia and their families and carers, which are accessible, adaptable, and responsive to local needs and demands.

An early diagnosis opens the door to future care and treatment. Importantly, it helps people with dementia to plan ahead whilst they are still able to make important decisions on their future care and support needs, and on financial and legal matters. It also helps them and their families to receive practical information, advice, and guidance as they face new challenges.

The Memory Assessment Service in Bury is provided by GP surgeries who each employ a dementia lead who has been provided with specialist training in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and post diagnostic support for people with routine cases of dementia.
